Charles Ditkoff serves as Vice Chairman of Corporate and Investment Banking and Head of the Global Healthcare Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), which was recognized by Black Enterprise magazine in 2006 as one of the most diverse companies in the United States. The Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) division of Bank of America was established in 1999, following a $64 billion merger of BankAmerica and NationsBank.

Prior to joining Bank of America’s health care investment banking division, Charlie Ditkoff worked with the Corporate Finance Group at Morgan Stanley, where he diligently built the health care division for five years. Charles Ditkoff received a strong Ivy League education, attending Brown University for political science studies and Yale University to complete a law degree. Taking up residence in New York, Charlie Ditkoff began his impressive career at the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in Manhattan, selected from among the top legal students entering the job market. Charles Ditkoff proved his continued value to the prestigious New York law firm for over five years as a corporate securities lawyer. Utilizing his experience in corporate securities to take on a position in banking, Charlie Ditkoff assumed a position as Vice President with Credit Suisse First Boston, now called Credit Suisse, from 1992 to 1994.

From there, Charles Ditkoff was engaged by the Corporate Finance Group at Morgan Stanley, and he joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch (then Banc of America Securities LLC) in 1999. Listing Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize-winning American Pastoral as one of his favorite books, Charlie Ditkoff also enjoys such classics as One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a Columbian novelist who won a Nobel Prize for literature in 1982, after leaving law school to pursue a career in journalism.
